In response to the unique challenge faced by the residents of this luxurious property, who sought an innovative solution to preserve their ocean view while ensuring maximum privacy and security, we met this challenge head-on. Our solution involved integrating a cutting-edge PriWatt smart glass fence that, with a simple tap of a button, seamlessly transitions from fully transparent, allowing residents to enjoy the ocean view, to fully opaque, ensuring the desired privacy.
The challenge at hand was to enable residents to appreciate the breathtaking ocean views without compromising their privacy. Our innovative answer to this dilemma was the PriWatt Smart Glass Fence—a switchable smart glass mechanism that facilitates instant transition from transparency to opacity through low-voltage electricity.
The implemented PriWatt Smart Glass Fence is constructed with low iron, tempered, EVA laminated glass, boasting a total overall thickness of 13/16″. The use of low iron glass ensures optimal clarity, while the modified EVA lamination process enhances the safety and durability characteristics of the glass.
The outcome is a smart glass fence that is not only durable and highly resilient but also aesthetically pleasing.
An exceptional feature of this project involves incorporating a smart home controller into the smart glass system. This functionality empowers residents to manage the transparency of the fence through their home automation pads. Additionally, an automated system has been programmed to transition the glass to its opaque state during the night, augmenting both privacy and security.
The installation of the glass was executed with precision by a certified glazing company based in California, with oversight from a Smart Glass Tech representative who ensured the seamless integration of the smart glass fence into the property’s existing smart home infrastructure, overseeing low-voltage connections and system setup.
